I'm back after hearing the prosecution say that this opening statement helped them find the direction that they were going to take to take them down. Great job to the prosecution team.

After reading reports of defense opening statements, something occurred to me.
Gregory forgot that he is no longer a cop, one who can detain on suspicion.
Travis forgot he is no longer a Coast Guard boarding officer, one who can use a weapon as a "de-escalation tactic".
They forgot and let their imaginations carry them away.
Defense has nothing to defend. It was a lynching. Period. All 3 will spend the rest of their lives in jail.

The idea that the "victim" was just jogging is a joke, he got caught trying to commit a crime and tried to get away when he realized he couldn't get away, he attacked the men and got shot. It's very simple

How does a lawyer like this sleep at night?
The defense's job is to concoct a self defense/citizen's arrest story that matches all the stories they volunteered on video after the shooting. That he ran towards them, he tried to get into one of the trucks, that all they said was 'we just wanna talk to you' when they actually told police they said, 'stop or we'll blow your #@&%king head off'. The formation of 'malice'. In other words matching their all the lies they volunteered after the fact. The police in that little town never questioned their version of events and closed the case. Until, the video came out. The truth now as it is throughout history a powerful force. Racist people are constantly running from the truth like a vampire from sunlight.

What was he going to steal no backpack no ID nothing to take things with I don’t understand the rationale. They killed this man because they wanted to. arbery was a convicted thief. he wasnt out for a "jog". he was 5 finger discount shopping… and got caught, then fled. then compounded his stupidity by grabbing a shotgun , by the barrel, from the man telling him to stop. That was when he got shot. Not while fleeing. but while wrestling for a loaded weapon. Self defense. end of story.
They were effecting a citizen's arrest; the dad was already on the phone with the cops. But Arbery panicked and tried to wrestle the shotgun away. Tragedy, but NOT GUILTY.
What bullshit, these guys had no legal right to attempt any confrontation with Ahmaud. THEY discredit to my race and deserve prison or loss of their life.
Defense opening at 1:51, and I’m like what? I don’t think so. That is not the attitude of these men. They were NOT trying to defend their neighborhood. They were looking to intimidate an unarmed black man who thought it was ok to jog through this neighborhood on a beautiful day.
