"Intel is a new comer to the mobile space" well considering they're stopping their contra-revenue scheme (paying people to take their chips) this year they won't be in it for long. Especially as ASUS have already gone on record saying there will be a snapdragon 620 in the next Zen fone!
Also that thrashing comment is BS, that never happens unless your CPU cache is too small! You don't need 4GB of RAM in a phone to run android currently that's just a waste of power. KitKat optimised RAM usage so that it ran smoothly on 1GB. My bet is that the CPU caches are too small and they've used the worst flash on the market which is why they have so much RAM!
