  1. Who let their grandpa with dementia keep his shotguns? That doesn't seem like it was a wise decision. I hope the officer is doing better now. We had a cop in the town 5mins from mine get shot in the head, right through the door of a hotel (when he was serving a warrant). He got him in the head too. Almost killed him. That's a scary moment, for anyone.

  2. Those who want to know the guy who shot the trooper was sentenced to 25 years of HOME incarceration. Which is house arrest. Claimed he was mentally ill with dementia. He deserves to be locked up in prison not his home. Shame on this horrible person shooting a cop. Lock him away and throw away the key.

  3. This guy got off with 25 years home incarceration, according to local media this dude suffers from dementia and was driving drunk. After the hearing he said he did it in self defense then you can hear his family telling him to shut up.

  5. Just another update: state trooper is totally fine and actually went back on duty just six days after this happened. Today, he just laughed about it, and joked around with his now-wife.

He called it a "graze wound" but there were entry and exit wounds in his head. That's an ex-Marine for ya.

  6. That's crazy that they forgot to search him and he had a loaded weapon. Thankfully they found it before something even worse happened!
