How To Install Monroe QuickStruts -EricTheCarGuy

**Sponsored Video**

In this video I walk you through the steps of replacing struts on a 1998 Chrysler Town and Country. The operation is fairly typical when replacing struts. I cover some of the issues you might run into, as well as some things you might want to avoid when installing struts on your vehicle.

Monroe also recommends replacing other suspension components like ball joints and control arm bushings when you replace your struts to avoid issues with noise or loss of vehicle control.

  1. what do you do if the top 3 bolts will not line up properly? Is there a way to adjust the top plate its about 1/4 turn off?

  2. I am working on 2002 Siena van the top nucle is not going in the bottom one is in the nut is installed what do think have I have done wrong

  3. A Magnetic Induction Heater made all the difference in the world for me. I have snapped bolts with these impact guns. I am just a home mechanic fixing my own vehicles. The heater cost about $250, but it paid for itself the first time. I had several rusty bolts that wouldn't come lose with penetrating oils and impact guns. After 20 seconds with the heater the nut came right off. It almost feels magical. Suspension parts are the worst.

  4. My sway bar links torque bit spot didt strip, they were in really good shape despite the rust. The problem i had was the bit breaking off inside the totque bit hole…mmmm

  5. I saved $250 installing the quick struts on my 03 Buick Century. The shop that quoted me the installation, their rate was $85 an hour.

  6. I was really hoping Eric would say he doesn't give a crap about torque spec'ing the strut nuts… that gives me some piece of mind.

  7. Hello Eric, I have a question. If the axle joint comes apart, does it mean that the joint is bad? I had one come apart on me, I was able after a while to put it back in, but I'm not sure if I created an issue.

  8. Pre spraying all your nuts and bolts the night before your project " if possible " will save you time and headaches.
