22. I’m frontline infectious disease at a major hospital and it is so unbelievably discouraging to read these comments. I spent 23 years in school so I could help people and reading that you all think we’re a bunch of evil supervillains is just heartbreaking. There isn’t enough money in the world to make me or any of my colleagues hurt or trick or lie to a patient. 30. I believe in the vaccines but you can't put what is coming at the feet of the unvaccinated, not for this variant. Omicron data is starting to show 2 doses of vaccine within 3 to 6 month, you have 30 percent protection. 2 doses with a booster will give you 75 percent. This variant is starting to show it is vaccine resilient and an omicron based booster will be needed but can't be ready til March 2022. It is not making as many sick, but is 70 times more contagious and all those who will get sick, the issue is, they will all get sick near the same time. Hospitals and staff can't handle even 5 percent of their local population needing medical attention at the same time.
