I’m an Army vet of Afghanistan. This Taliban replacement was arranged long ago. It is taking place so fast and so smoothly that it’s clear that they were in the villages, armed and waiting. When the U.S. announced its withdrawal, they simply stepped forward, with the Afghan compliance. There is little if any resistance and that just for “show”. The Afghan people are in ready to get rid of the unstable mafia thugs that have been running their government and stealing the U.S. support for the 20 years of U.S. occupation. Yes, around the airport, there is chaos, the women and educated folks that want out; but, back in the cities, there is peace. There is nothing in Afghanistan of immense value.
