Lúc còn cường tráng sao không nỗ lực tu tập đợi đến lúc nào?

    Người đời, không biện biệt được tốt xấu cát hung họa phước, thần trí ngu muội, lại theo các giáo điều khác, liên tiếp điên đảo, nguồn gốc vô thường mê mờ không chịu suy xét, chẳng tin kinh pháp, không biết lo xa, say mê giận hờn, tham đắm tài sắc, trọn chẳng ngừng nghỉ, thật đáng thương thay!

    Đời trước ngu muội, không biết đạo đức, không ai chỉ bảo đâu có lạ gì? Sanh tử luân hồi, thiện ác báo ứng đều chẳng tin tưởng cho là không có. Tự thử nhìn lại: Nào cha khóc con, con khóc cha, anh em vợ chồng than khóc lẫn nhau, một đời sanh tử tiễn đưa thương tiếc, buồn thương trói buộc không sao giải nổi, nghĩ nhớ ân sâu không ngoài tình dục, sao chẳng suy cùng xét kỹ chuyên tâm hành đạo, khi tuổi già mạng hết không biết làm sao?

    Kẻ mê thì nhiều, người ngộ đạo rất ít, phần nhiều ôm lòng giết hại, ác khí tràn đầy làm điều hư dối, trái ngược trời đất mặc tình tạo tội, khi mạng sống hết, đọa vào ác đạo không biết ngày ra. Các ngươi phải nghĩ kỹ, xa lìa điều ác siêng làm việc lành, ái dục vinh hoa không thể giữ mãi, đều phải ly biệt chẳng có vui gì! Nên phải siêng năng tinh tấn cầu sanh về cõi An Lạc được trí huệ sáng suốt công đức thù thắng, đừng theo tâm tham dục, cô phụ kinh giới, uổng phí đời sau…
