5. the tracks outside Cornucopia restaurant in Eugene Oregon the tracks are so loose you can see the railroad ties Flex under the rails Flex really bad when the train goes by I've reported this a few times and no one's done anything it's right next to a restaurant people sitting there every night having dinner one of these days that rails going to break and it's going to be a mess and then it's going to be too late you can see the rails Flex away from the railroad ties

15. I read there were 16 employees on this train………no wonder Amtrak is bankrupt. An engineer, maybe 3 or 4 conductors, and a food vendor. 5/6 employees tops.

19. I found it funny I took my very first Amtrak ride and when I got off in Texas I said “That wasn’t so bad; I think I’ll take the train more often.” And immediately after Amtrak sent me the alert to this derailment.

21. my dad was a Great Northern engineer and that was his main route for 20 years back in 1950-60s. Never had problems on that line except for an occasional cow

29. I have seen trains derail At slow pace. If the track not perfectly aligned well they fall off. Rail companies are getting cheaper when they repair the track. They now put one spike inside and one outside and that's it.
    When i was doing tracks , it was two inside, and two outside and one other lag spike for the plate.
    Why we did so many , it was for high speed trains going 50+mph or higher. And in my days done by hand, today its machines and i say it's not good enough.

30. you have to grab onto something when the train is tilting otherwise extremely dangerous if you fell where the windows are being grinded against the ground.
