The "Federal" Reserve just gifted $2 TRILLION to its banksters buy their uncollectible, mortgage-backed bonds in 2019 to 2020, when they knew that if the banksters attempted to sell such bonds, they would have had to sell them at ludicrously low prices: particularly, because real estate has been in a huge bubble for years and this pandemic has prevented so many businesses from opening, resulted in their insolvency and defaults on their rents and mortgages, and will result in many, many commercial landlords also being in default on their mortgage-backed bonds given to the banksters.

Lots of Texas architects, engineers and construction trades need to lose their licenses; maybe even do jail time for gross engineering negligence; ranging from inadequate power grid design to negligent plumbing, insulation and heating of individual residences. Up here in the north, -40F is just another day. In Texas it's a national disaster. Designing for the best conditions and ignoring 20 year cycles of unusual weather just doesn't cut it. And don't blame 'climate change' for every disaster that comes along!

35. One factor they aren't discussing in the news is how Texans heat their homes. Despite the state producing HUGE amounts of natural gas, few homes in Texas are heated by it. Electric heat pumps rule the day in Texas, because it is cheaper. Cheaper for the developer building the neighborhood cause they don't have to run gas lines. The HVAC unit is cheaper itself, because an electric heat pump is basically air conditioning run in reverse. Heat pumps are reasonably efficient until the temp drops below freezing, then they use A LOT more electricity, hence part of the reason for the blackouts, google how a heat pump works.

39. I’m getting really annoyed with these articles. They are ALL talking about the failure of the power plants and supply.

    Half the story!

    ERCOT implemented rolling blackouts. Okay fine. But when some neighborhoods were turned on they didn’t turn on. The transformers blew. While some neighborhoods were fully on others like mine were off for days. These rolling blackouts weren’t rolling!

    And nobody is even addressing it

40. Stupid for going it alone and not connecting to neighboring states’ power grid so Texas cannot borrow power load from its neighbors in time of high demand. Going it alone will result in more frequent rolling blackouts in order to save the grid system from collapsing. Just more excuses for the power companies to charge customers more in order to reduce the rolling blackouts. Texans need to grow a brain by joining its neighbors.
