Simply starve these cowards out, and replace them with non union educators who aren’t scared, nor demand the insanely high salaries Chicago’s F rated educators currently receive for doing nothing. They make well over 50K (to start with), but come equipped with the worlds easiest, 3 year degree (Education), & Chicago is allowing these room temperature IQ’d public school “teachers”, and their BLM union to call the shots. It’s very easy. Simply starve them, and liquidate the ones who refuse to return with easily replaceable private school teacher’s. They currently make much less money, use the higher rewarded, & non tax payer funded 401K retirement programs versus their cowardly public school colleagues who have bankrupted Illinois via guaranteed (not earned) pensions. Liquidate, & easily replace these greedy cowards. What a disgrace, & national embarrassment the entire state of Illinois (especially Chicago) has turned into…..The epic crapper, & never ending failure.

  5. They should hire new teachers …They should be thankful that they have a job to support their families…Go back to educate the children and not to do school reports while the children are left for hours doing nothing

  6. i understand getting a restoration on the school and hiring more teachers, but i don’t understand the pay when teachers get a lot of benefits. they don’t have to work when kids aren’t at school most of the time, and get paid typically more than an EMT on an ambulance. EMTs/Paramedics have to see gruesome things a lot of the time and don’t have holidays like teachers do yet tend to get paid less

  10. Corrupt teachers union who are extorting a bankrupt city for more and more money. These ignorant teachers don't deserve a 6 figure salary for a part time job that they suck at. Stay on strike for a year I hope. Let the animals run through the Mag Mile with their flash mobs robbing cell phones from tourists. Chicago is soon to be the next American Democrat Hole. Glad I left this hole years ago.

  29. One of the main reasons the teachers are striking is because of class
    size. You have to wonder % question how many students in each class are
    Illegal immigrants. The costs of Illegals in our sanctuary city is in
    the millions. If the Illegal students were gone the class size would be
    smaller, there probably wouldn't be a need for a teachers strike and the
    quality education that our citizens deserve would go up! Now tell me
    that the Illegals are not a detriment to our society!

  31. They only work 8 or 9 months out of the year, have summers off to go traveling and STILL they whine ! Maybe they should get a real job and see what it's like to really work for a living.

  33. I think the parents should have a say so. Are the children being properly educated or just going to school to be babysat? Let the parents take a vote on it. Do the kids have a reasonable amount of homework, or are they bringing an entire days worth of work home? What subjects are they being taught and what are their grades? Do they come home with better life skills or more belligerent than the day before? How well qualified are the teachers, are they proficient at what they teach and how they do it? How well do your children learn? What did they learn? Are your children in class learning, or outside protesting something someplace? When your children come home are they in a good mood and look and act confident? Find out what your children are being taught, if you feel somethings lacking or inappropriate at their school or the way your children are being taught say so. After all they're learning how to take care of theirselves and their own families later in life. Don't waste money on teachers that don't earn it … hold them accountable!

I am with you guys, you guys should be one of the highest paid, you are getting our next generation ready and the government don’t care, the majority of you do it for the love of our kids and the job. You have your own kids but you get up early everyday and come to school to love other people’s kids. And you very underpaid, some of these kids you guys have to be mom and dads to, and you have to take away from the little money you get to fund your classrooms. Come on America do better for these heroes. #stanwithourteachers…
