36. IF you look at the reports (tourism) coming out of Hawaii, they focus on the rarity and chances of being bitten by a shark, and they're right. But, the fact is that more people in the water means more encounters with sharks, and i would be more cautious in places where the beach drop-off is more severe like Hawaii (RIP to the poor soul). I was fly fishing with a guide about 200 yards of some beach near Clearwater Florida, and he asked if we wanted to try shark fishing. the water was a bit murky and we pulled in three bull sharks in less than an hour in 4 – 5 feet of water, 200 yards from the beach where people we swimming. the guide was also search & rescue and he said that from the air you can see sharks swimming very close to the swimmers but with extremely rare encounters….. "if humans were on their menu, there would be bodies everywhere". How comforting.

37. it is the ocean. their home. shark have only been known to attack humans out of mistakenly thinking it was a seal or some food. honestly beaches in general especially hot spots for sharks should have more surveillance. but no. nobody wants tax money to go towards that type of stuff. cause the case is so rare. 1 fatality is small compared to car accidents…

38. This and gator attacks are caused by CLIMATE CHANGE. Warmer waters causes cold blooded animals to seek colder waters.
