  1. In a photo posted by The Chicago Tribune, the pool for the Champlain Towers South building, seems to be intact and undamaged?? And it clearly shows the pools for all three of the buildings of Champlain Towers! So, unless they had more than one pool, I find it hard to believe or even imagine the pool being undamaged and seen in the picture as the point where the building collapsed. Unless they had more than one pool for the South Towers, but still if it was caused from the pool, it would be cracked or not visible, am I wrong?

  2. 'Tacoma Narrows' Condominium, except this one lasted 40 or so years. Structural flaws noticed but NOTHING had been done.

Dope describes my rhymes, making all you MCS cold drop like dimes. You know MCSC is back again, and battling me on the microphone is like committing a sin.

    I've seen it all.

  4. US ANTIQUE INFRASTRUCTURE: "The eyes of history are on this appointment." – Buttigeig.

1964 Japan's first bullet trains were put in service and the the first Beatles album was released.

1998 China started the construction of 36,000km of high speed railways and high speed trains.

2021 US still has NO high speed trains and NO safe overpasses or apartment blocks.

  5. Its not exactly as if the US is a backward third world country, the reason for collapse needs to be fully investigated as though it was an airline crash for the benefit of others living in similar buildings in a similar location, engineers, architects, insurance companies would also benefit from knowing the reason.

  6. De santis, : lets wait for a proper investigation before we do anything about it. how about 2030? that would be a great year to do something about it.

  7. Lawyers are a necessary evil, but this is a feeding frenzy this is a lawyer's dream lawsuits flying every where for years, hope the victims get that money

  8. Oh yes absolutely they should beyond the owners I would have the biggest lawsuit on them….. I know it won't bring my family back but still…

  9. I wonder how many people who bought units in this building over the past 3 years (since the report had been released telling them of the ongoing structural damage) were actually TOLD that there was an issue with the building. One of the units had just been sold right before it collapsed. My gut tells me that the newer buyers weren’t told a thing about the condition of the building. And banks can be incredibly LAZY, so it’s doubtful that they bothered to really check either. Any inspection work that was done was probably only done to the unit being sold vice the entire building. This really was a gorgeous building. On the surface, it looked every bit as modern and up to date as any new construction on the waterfront. The building’s from the 60’s/70’s are just downright ugly, with large areas of white paint and undersized windows.
