I believe most of those haters have never competed at a high level nor do they posses empathy, commonsense and basic human decency to mock, invalidate and diminish struggles they haven't endured.
It’s interesting how she stumbled and quit for health reasons but came back for the balance beam. Sounds to me like she just didn’t wanna fail and was easier to quit than continue.
First off I respect all the athletes no matter what age, but I do have a contention about age. Seems to me that the younger they are, the more unfair advantage they would have because of how small their bodies are which makes it much easier / flexible / lighter etc to perform routines than a full grown adult. We're seeing a lot of olympic sports being dominated by children. I think it is a real issue now and it's not fair that adults have to compete against children in certain sports like diving, gymnastics, skateboarding, etc. I remember how much easier it was to manipulate my body at 14 or 16 years old compared to when I was 28. Geez sometimes just getting out of bed at 28 felt like I was moving a ton of bricks, but getting out of bed at 15 years old I was a spring active lively bouncy instantly. Why is it there there are no gymnasts over 6 feet tall and weighing over 200 pounds? I guess they all suck at these sports and have no skills?
Congrats to Simone! But anyone else think that all the hate directed at her wasn’t entirely about her quitting? ðŸ¤â€

We all need humbling experiences in our lives. One of Simone’s humbling experience is being displayed on an Olympic world stage now. Remember, she chose to display being the goat on her leotard and noticed the way spoke with her fellow gymnasts before she left for recovery. These were just some signs where I perceived she was displaying excessive prideful. The law of humility will humble all, doesn’t matter who we are or even if you choose acknowledge it or not. Universal laws are higher than our strengths and weaknesses. They govern order in our world. It’s not only a learning experience for Simone but for us all to learn from as well. I see Simone’s world stage weakness as an learning opportunity for us all.
If you fell for this crap, you lack street smarts. It’s clear she quit temporarily to not take the L. Proof of this is how she came back to compete for the individual. Now her mental health is fine. What a weak excuse and a joke.
If retalin was available in japan, there would be no "mental issue". Just like in Rio in 2016.

Regardless of the reason for her quitting, the fact remains, she did quit. Would you be praising Usain Bolt had he quit during the '08,'12, or '16 Olympics? Michael Phelps during the '08 or '12 Olympics? Tom Brady or Serena Williams in their prime for the same reasons? I would think not. Why is the media diverting away from the real issue? Her "Mental Issues" have been long known. It did not spontaneously appear just before she quit. She ended up winning an individual Olympic medal after she quit on her team, which is quite an achievement. So, did her "Mental Issues" spontaneously disappear? No, it doesn't work that way. They will never disappear. It can only be controlled through Psychiatry and/or drugs. And therein lies the problem. Ritalin. People take it for ADHD but it is also a banned performance-enhancing drug. Ritalin and ADHD are the reason for Simone Biles’s struggles. Everyone is trying to figure out why Simone Biles suffered such emotional distress during the Tokyo Olympics. This wasn’t her first rodeo, and she’s never showed signs of nerves or any other mental struggles prior to this year’s Olympics. So why now? Methylphenidate (the generic name for Ritalin) is a stimulant and is specifically mentioned in USADA and WADA guidelines for prohibited stimulants in competition, a performance-enhancing drug that is 100% illegal in Japan. She was forced off of it and is now suffering the consequences. Lack of competitive focus and drive. Though it does give athletes an unfair advantage, she is allowed to take it through a Therapeutic Use Exemption. She received a therapeutic use exemption for it in 2016 and took home 4 gold medals in Rio. Fast forward to Tokyo 2021 and Ritalin is 100% illegal in Japan. It kind of makes you wonder what happened? It begs the question, would "Goldie" be the self-appointed "GOAT" if not for the competitive edge gained from taking Methylphenidate (the generic name for Ritalin)? Perhaps she is mortal, after all.

The thing is, would you ever see a Chinese or Japanese athlete pull out of a competition because their head wasnt in the right place? Of course not. Closer to home.. remember The Iron Horse Lou Gehrig, never missing a baseball game despite concussions, broken fingers, pneumonia, lumbago etc while performing at the very highest level. This mental toughness is what most people admire, not so much the super talented diva types.
