  3. Most of those government workers look down on people who dont make as much as they do, NOW…! Theyre the ones whose gonna be stand in food pantry line or applying for EBT, NOW we get to look down on them BUT ! 2 Wrongs dont make a right so dont do that…I bet they wont look down on people again. Some people think theyre better or superior until theyre the ones going through "that situation"…GROW A HEART AND DEVELOPE SOME EMPATHY AND maybe karma wont kick you in the nuts…KARMAS A BITCH !!!

  10. Shut down the IRS for good, families were financially better off pre 1913.
    The roots of IRS go back to the Civil War when President Lincoln and Congress, in 1862, created the position of commissioner of Internal Revenue and enacted an income tax to pay war expenses. The income tax was repealed 10 years later. Congress revived the income tax in 1894, but the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional the following year.

Trump begins bringing millions of jobs back to America that had departed over decades through bad trade agreements and its relative silence from the drive by media. But, government workers go unemployed several weeks (they won’t lose a penny of real pay) and its Armageddon on the left. What complete hypocrites.

  19. I use to work at IRS and most workers are lazy and doesn't do anything anyway. The shutdown is a good idea to get rid of those lazy people who isn't fired because of a stupid policy that once a government worker passes the probation period they can't be fired, no matter what. Need to weed these people out. RIF

  20. How come Congress don't get furlough and the Senate? Congress can do whatever they want, they still get their paycheck. It was my gripe when there was a shutdown in the 80's when Reagan was in office. As an IRS employee, then it was the congress who didn't care because they are the ones who can pass the budget and its the same thing now. Never changed; the only thing changed are the faces of the employees. I live in CA and some of my Mexican friends said, let them the US build the wall because Areo Mexico has more flights than ever flying to Canada. Hence the undocumented will be coming from the North like the sanctuary state, Washington (the Pacific one). Pelosi is one of the villains and Schumer. All three Trump, Pelosi and Schumer- a unholy trinity of crooks and liars- All politicians are and we as gov't workers have to put up with these Democrats and Republicans. Pelosi, Trump and Schumer- they still get paid.

  21. These people miss one paycheck and NOW they can't afford to live in a house, pay rent, or buy groceries? I would say they have made some pretty poor life choices if that is the case. I don't feel sorry for these people. It takes hard work and discipline but anyone can build a nice life for themselves in this country. Maybe stop buying lotto tickets, cigarettes, alcohol, pets you can't afford, and stop having so many kids….
