My Bigmom's dad, my great great grandad was Saltwater Geechee. People tried to shame him for having an accent and being "country". My branch of the family came to Michigan a century ago, but since childhood l was always curious about my roots. I am very proud of my Geechee heritage.
What is the role of a shaman?
Shamans are the most notable of the multiple religious figures present in traditional Aboriginal religion. They function as healers, prophets, diviners and custodians of religious mythology. … In some societies, all these functions are performed by the same person; in others, shamans are specialists.Nov 2, 2015
I love this . I always think about how ghettos are actually prime real estate too. I know due to poverty and crime it might keep rents low but bring in the heart of any city is prime real estate if it's used to the fullest or not. I know that's off topic but its important to understand.
Love this
God bless up our Queen and our people! ðŸ™ÂðŸÂ½â¤ï¸Â

If every person/family made a decision to change their lifestyle to protect the Earth, we would be saving our home.

Wow! I hope we can do everything possible, as a nation, to stop or at least slow climate change and the end of a people.
"I hear a hell no in that sentence." "You got it!" @ 9:05. I know that's right. Keep your land Don't sell it! ðŸ˜Å
Bless them
It's overwhelming. I'm in Georgia and I'm aware of the affect on the coastlines here. We are losing land at an increasingly rapid pace and it's affecting the wildlife. I can't say I have any GG heritage, but my people are from NC and Virginia, so my heart is in the south and with the land. I don't know what to do except make lifestyle changes myself that could decrease impact on the planet. I'm thankful my family is open minded to the things I'm trying to change in our carbon footprint. Some people don't wanna hear it and wanna keep the things/ways that are comfortable to them.
Do believe that climate change mess@! Fight for your land.!!
God, protect these people!
Too much developmentâ€â€-breaks my heart
Clarence Thomas is Gullah
Why do the rich always buy on the water if the water is going to rise and take the land back?
One good thing about us humans we are very ADAPTABLE. Climate changes all the time and always has changed.
It’s not only climate that threatens these people they are also trying to take the land from the Gula people through gentrification
How is it that I had never heard of these people before until a few years ago? They are an awesome people.
I respect this Queen so much! Her soul is beautiful and she makes a lot of sense. I agree and respect everything she said!!
Communist don't like private owned farms….big farm will either want their farm or shut it down
Sadly, some have sold to developers because they no longer want to live there or land was inherited but not wanted. The area used to be much larger (Hilton Head etc) but developers bought it and the area is a resort town. Sad. Our history always gets erased.
