Unsolved and unprosecuted rapes and murders happen as well because no country has jurisdiction over these ships. These ships also dump their waste in the ocean with impunity. Why does anyone want to pay a fortune to get on a floating drunk tank and swim in a deck top swimming pool that passes for a toilet bowl?

You know, when you’re on these tiny islands and all of a sudden a massive machine lines up right next to the bar where you’re enjoying some music….it is a very unsettling and unnatural feeling that takes away from being on a tiny island to begin with. There are many ways to reach any of the islands that don’t involve cruise ships. Whereas, Miami and Ft Lauderdale are not far if your bound for these islands to really enjoy them for more than an afternoon. All around, it’s too bad for the locals – either they get that short term (throw away) customer or they wait until the vacation season opens. As a consumer, I would prefer the latter.
