17. You'd be surprised at the people who slip through the cracks to be pilots. I worked in the aviation field for awhile. It seems to be basically about if you have the money to do your training and are a relatively decent person, nothing else is really checked. Nobody really wants to know anyone's background. It's hard enough for people to find the money to go through training, so
    if they've made it that far, then they should be OK
