  1. Scott tells Amber he lost his wife a couple of weeks before she went missing, and this would be his first Christmas without her. And, by christmas, Laci really was gone!
On the day he said that to Amber he bought a secret boat no one knew about.
He also made five anchors, four of which were never recovered. The one that they did have, didn't match the cement in the driveway, which is where Scott said he'd used the rest of the missing cement, proven in court.

Laci didn't know about, nor had she ever been in the boat, yet, a couple of Lacis hairs were found, wound tightly in some pliers.

Agreed to take a lie detector test, but backed out after his father advised him not to.

Upon returning home, he immediately washed his clothes, ate, and took shower. After getting out of shower, instead of just calling Lacis cell phone one more time, he calls her mom and tells her Laci is missing.

He told, at least, three people he'd been playing golf, before finally sticking to the fishing story.

Speaking of fishing, Scott told the detectives that going fishing that morning had been a last minute decision. But, this was an obvious lie because he'd purchased a two-day fishing license dated for the 23rd & 24th, a few days before. Or, maybe he's just psychic, and predicted he'd be making that "last minute" decision!

When he took the detectives to his warehouse, he led them to believe the power was out, when the truth was, only his office in the warehouse had lighting, but the warehouse, itself, was only lit by a sky light during the day.

When he went to the station to answer questions, he was already refering to Laci in past tense. Saying, "Laci was pregnant."  Shouldn't that be IS pregnant? It wasn't past her due date. He did the same thing in his interview with Diane Sawyer. By then, he'd been made aware he shouldn't do that, as he immediately corrects himself saying, "is amazing" after he'd said 'was'. A huge red flag for the detectives on the case.

On the night of Dec 24th, the day Laci went missing, Scott was already inquiring about grief counseling for Lacis family. Really??? She's not even yet gone a full 24hrs! I've never heard of anyone doing that over someone being missing for only a few hours! It just seems like Scott knew she wasn't coming home.

The next day, Scott called the detectives asking them if they'd be bringing in and using cadaver dogs. She hadn't even been gone a full 24hours, and, he is inquiring about cadaver dogs! Another huge red flag to the detectives working the case!

He sold Lacis car while still missing, before her body was found. And, inquired about selling their home before she was ever found too! He even wanted to sell it with all their furniture! Supposedly, he doesn't know if Laci is dead or alive, but has no problem selling her car and their home, with all their stuff in it?

He told lie after lie after lie. Of course the big, well known lie was when he called Amber from Lacis vigil. Right before, during, or after just doesn't matter, at all! His mistress should've been the last thing on his mind at any moment during that event.

It was well known he didn't want children, and wasn't thrilled about Laci being pregnate. Even telling his sister-in-law he was hoping for infertility. Laci telling her mom Scott wouldn't touch her belly to feel baby kicking.

He didn't participate in the searches for Laci, opting instead, to secretly go to the bay, park his car, and just watch the search that was going on in the bay.

Instead of showing grief about his wife being missing he, instead chose to flirt with his sisters baby sitter. Offering to make her drinks he called, "flirtinis". The baby sitter was so weirded out by Scott, she left!

In one of the recorded calls with Amber, Scott tells her that if the police find any evidence, he'd lose his freedom. Not a confession, but close enough!

When the due date, of the birth of his missing baby came around, he didn't have a gathering of friends & family to remember Laci & Conner. No, he didn't do anything at all to remember them. And, that would've been fine, if he chose to do nothing, no problem. But, he DID choose to do something. Since that day was also Ambers Bday, Scott chose to celebrate it, by hiding a bag of jewelry and a CD, etc for Amber to pick up. It seems it was Amber he wanted to remember & honor, not his missing wife & baby.

When a body of a baby washed ashore, and then a body of a woman who had been pregnant washed ashore shortly after, within just a couple of miles from where he says he was 'fishing',  he never even called anyone about it to see if it was Laci.
About a week or so later, he was caught trying to flee with just about everything he owned, BUT his golf clubs and golf shoes. I add that he didn't have his clubs & shoes because Scott tried telling the cops that he was just going to play golf, not flee! However, the list of things he had with him is just as long, if not longer than my list here of the evidence!

I could go on & on! I know there's more, but I'm drawing a blank on the rest. Can anyone else think of anything I've forgotten?

Okay so, one or two things on this list would be maybe a coincidence. three or four things — sketchy, but okay.

All these things plus more — he's guilty, guilty, guilty! And, I don't even have it all listed here.

  2. 1. Scott only said Laci was "missing" after he'd returned home, saw her car and her purse were still there, saw the dog with it's leash still attached, and had asked Sharon if Laci was with her. When Sharon said no, that's when Scott knew something was wrong because she wouldn't have left all those things.
    2. Plenty of men have used the line "I lost my wife" to pick up females. Even I've used that line before.
    3. If Scott knew Lacis body was in the bay why would he place himself at the scene by saying he was "fishing?"
    4. If Scott had a body to dispose of why did he wait for broad daylight to dispose of her? His boat was very small. Any potential person he might've passed could easily have seen something large and wrapped up in his boat.
    5. Why did the cops lie about Laci knowing about the boat. Witnesses saw Scott showing Laci the boat, but the cops committed that from the record. Why?
    6. Many celebrities disguise themselves when they are trying to outrun the media. And regardless of what the truth is, if ppl think you are guilty of murder, they're gonna try to hurt you. So it's not really surprising that Scott would disguise himself 🤷

  3. Do I believe Scott loved Laci back in 2002? No. It does seem he is a lying scumball AND was proven to have cheated on Laci.
Do I believe he murdered Laci & Connor? No. I'm not completely convinced. The prosecutors never produced any credible evidence of this murder. Everything they presented was just wrong and/or misleading. They were only able to prove that Scott was a cheating & lying scumbag of a husband but that is far from proving Scott was a murderer.
If anything, the prosecution and media during 2002-2003 are guilty of manipulating the public's belief system and the entire investigation of this case was mishandled. The jury for this trial was also flawed and problematic. Why it didn't end with a hung jury should be examined and this case needs reopenned.
It's tragic all who were involved in this case.
What's even worse is the fact that the media is not held responsible for corrupting this case.
How crazy is it that people like Nancy Grace is permitted to influence the opinions of millions without consequences? Should she be punished? Of course not. How do you restrict her freedom of speech?
How ironic is it that a country that stands and fights for freedom will be destroyed by its' own virtue of the freedom of speech? The main strength of a country turns out to also be its main weakness? What a crazy world we live in.

  4. Scott reinvents himself in the moment so he lies to support his current persona. He killed his wife because it was easy for him to snuff her out and reinvent himself as a carefree single man.
His sister knows he is a liar and a shallow man. She also knows he killed his wife too.

  5. Strange that Scott does not talk about his feelings. He talks about floors and chairs and falling but not about how he is feeling about his lot in life.
Scott’s father is right, Scott is too good to believe. He is an excellent mimic of normal human behavior but he is otherwise empty.

  6. Overall I hate this Nancy Grace… an insult to name grace. She thinks she is beyond the law and convicts people in don't seconds forgetting everyone is innocent unless proven otherwise and it is courts job not hers. What a disgrace for this country and she should be convicted. Horrible woman can u imagine you are married to her? Omg

  7. The video of Laci standing by the front door of the neighbors house talking to the robberrs & people think Scott killed Laci! What a crazy world! Scott will get a new trial & it will be an open & shut case the trial will be fast & Scott will be set free! Laci approached the robbers she made a deadly mistake

  8. It's interesting to hear Scott try to explain how he felt when the verdict was read, because he knows that WE know that he had no reaction at all–and that that reaction doesn't sit well with people at large. Sooooo, when you're trying to garner sympathy OR you're looking ahead to a possible re-trial or some judicial review down the line, you can't let that emotionless posture of his just sit out there in the public's mind. You have to explain it away. Hence, this O so poor attempt. Poor Scott is torn, I'm afraid: viscerally, he KNOWS that he's where he belongs and that he is guilty–which is what we see. Intellectually, Scott is trying to calculate/explain/posture his way out of the situation. Simply said, Scott feels that if he lies enough, and continues to lie, and continues to plead his innocence that someday–just maybe–he'll be a free man again. But, Dang! That lump of a man, sitting in a courtroom chair, expressing no emotion to 2 guilty verdicts does so little to help his cause.

  9. He went fishing 90 miles away from home, then 4 months later she and baby wash up in the same place he went fishing, in a boat no one knew he owned. 4 homemade anchors missing, admitting on tape he told Amber he" lost his wife", (2 weeks BEFORE Laci went missing) That smacks of premeditation. That's all I need to know. Gimmee a break. Guilty.

  10. This case, if you are European, can give you a headache, UK-France cases combined are little child. If you ask me, it's obvious he's a guilty psychotic narcissist, but the case against him was bad-constructed, I do not understand why in these cases it is not reached, after the first appeal of defense, at a all judges full court, as in Europe, you do not reach a conclusion with a jury, you want an appeal, perfect, 7 professional judges in a room, women and man, plead and see who convinces them of guilt or innocence, the final sentence, whiteout appeal possibility end of story. 7 judges at least 4 must know the law, and know how to judge objectively. Your system of "justice" seems to me a constant rumble, which is based on confession rather than on the quality of investigators to gather evidence and prosecutors to present it. On the other hand, I'm sorry for the victims, but you do it with your hands like society, I'm tired of all this nonsense with college or high school "sweethearts ". I hear from US, go in life, learn to differentiate between attractions, friendship feelings, love based on comfort and sympathy, love based on admiration, and true love, don't tell me you find your true love in college or high school, that's hypocrisy, and a case or two are exceptions. Your society promotes doped marriage, it doesn't matter who you or why marry just do it, to be in the "society line". No, go and see what life is, make a path for yourself, be careful and judge and when you will feel you find the one who indeed make your heart to have a "heart attack" and you look at that person like at sun and that person at you the same, marry and think about children. This girl hadn't even gotten along well in life, she didn't know herself, but she needed a husband and a child….let be serious, it is one of the reasons why you are the number one between developed states in the world in homicides and divorces. This familiar doping will continue to bring catastrophes.

  11. That picture of Laci when she was at her family Christmas Party haunts me to this day. She looked so happy. Ready to start her new life and about to become a mother. She was so looking forward to the future and watching her child grow up (probably have more kids within the next few years too) and loved being a wife. Meanwhile her husband Scott was at a Christmas party with his mistress and planning to kill his wife in the next few days. Just horrible.

  12. It's funny they only talk about the Lacy Peterson sightings that "help" their case. It's like what? 8-9 sightings that help their agenda?
Well they need to mention all the other HUNDREDS of false sightings of Lacy that morning and throughout the investigation reported that completely doesn't support this scenario.
People have been falsely reporting and falsely identifying people forever.
Over half of wrongfully convicted people who were exonerated from DNA were sentenced due to false eyewitnesses.
I don't mean to come off cruel or pre judging. Their are people in my family that I love, know, and trust SO much that I would bet all my money and life that they are completely incapable of commiting this type of crime.
I remember having this argument with my father once. I told him. "Hey, what if not only the police told you that grandma (his mom) not only murdered people, but they have a video of it. Would you believe it"?
The answer was no. Of course it was. I wouldn't believe it either There is NO WAY IN HELL she could hurt anyone under any circumstance. She's not like that (she's not, she's the most gentle person ever).
It really made me think hard about how people feel about people they know extremely well their entire lives.

  13. Laci and I were born within a couple of weeks of each other in 1975 and we were both due with our first babies, both boys, also within weeks of each other in 2002. I've thought about her so much through the years, how I'm still here and how my beautiful 19 year old son is still here, and she and Connor are both gone. So so very tragic.

  14. I don't care.. YOU DON'T GET RID OF A LOVED ONES BELONGINGS UNLESS YOU KNOW THEY AREN'T COMING HOME! Period! Especially a pregnant wife! The recorded conversations with the mistress? Please! Not every cheater is a killer but it's a damn good motif!

  15. Did anybody bother to ask Scott why during that interview he was making like he was crying of memories of Laci? Since he had already at that point spoke to Amber about their future together. This guy was and probably still is one mixed up guy. Not to even mention that he had already told Amber that he lost his wife on December 9, 2002. When in fact Laci was still very alive. Crazy SOB!!!
