What is wrong having dreadlocks? I don't understand
This is not that big of a deal. It sucks but when I was wrestling I always tried to keep my hair long. Several times I have to have it cut by a coach or teammate with tape scissors. They really did a hatchet job. My hair at the time was important because I wanted it as long as possible because I was in a rock band in the late 80's. I grew it out except for wrestling I had to have it short. My hair was a big part of who I was but I knew if I was going to wrestle and keep my hair as long as possible that was a risk I was going to take. I still hate that it happened but I'm not scarred for life. There were other things that hit life harder than having my hair cut in front of everyone…and they were all laughing at the horrible hair cut I ended up with.
There was no force!!! It was a choice!!! Big difference. Play the game with integrity and follow the rules it’s not that difficult. Can’t follow rules then don’t play very simple!!!

I'm a year late but found this video, they are saying it's race which is dumb af, I wrestled and a friend of mine is white and his hair was too long because you can't wrestle if your hair is too long and all, they cut his hair before the match, it was a horrific haircut and he hated it but nobody really thought anything of it, race my ass tf

Damn jersey I thought y'all was like wanna be Florida I thought y'all allowed to wear dreads during sports his where short in florida we got wrestlers/boxers who got longer dreads and they can wear it. Someone needs to hold that women down and cut her hair as close to scalp as possible, and see what she thinks about it! I am getting so tired of the hair argument. I hope all this school hair situation goes before the fedral courts soon. Thank god I live in a town where music, and creativity are the norm. Why don't they do this to cheerleaders if equality is all the rage! I'm 60 not 16 so don't go telling me I need to abide by the rules. Times change, and so should the people making the rules.
