I love how they say Nike stock went down because of this. If this didn't happen then who's to say whether Nike stock wouldn't have gone down the following day? I mean, stocks go up and down on any given day…and a 1% drop up or down, on any given day, is nothing. They like to say "billion" cuz it grabs eyeballs a lot more than "1%". Remember, we are talking about market capitalization, not revenue. Their market cap is gargantuan and $1B up or down is nothing. My personal opinion is that it probably did go down, or at least go down more than it would have, because of this incident. That said, my point is that we simply don't know.

More lazy "journalism" that panders to a corporation that buys millions in advertising from ABC and ESPN. The shoe "blowout" is not an isolated incident. A simple Google search reveals several examples of Nike's shoes literally just falling apart. Nike and Kaepernick are a perfect match for one another. Both think they're better than they really are. They're both only great in the their own head.
