  1. I often pick up flip-flops at my neighborhood thrift shop. For $1 they can be barely worn & much better quality than the options from discount or dollar stores. I was pleasantly surprised yesterday to find a pair Made in USA from tidalnewyork.com. They're much more comfortable & better made than most others. That's one item I always assumed was made in China or occasionally in Italy.

  2. I am really happy about made in America labels (we are coming back into our own country and we have pride) now can we get lays potato chips back ?

  3. Antique newspapers. I have 24 old historical papers (9/11/01 special terror edition New York Times Manhattan; 9/11/01 special late news Washington Post; 12/20/1803 Louisiana purchase; 11/22/1963 Dallas Times Herald; 1/28/1986 Florida Today…home of Cape Canaveral… Challenger disaster; 7/21/1969 Houston Post; 8/30/1999 London Daily Mail ‘Diana Dead’ 4:15 am edition; 7/10/1790 Columbian Centinel; 7/4/1801 ACTUAL DAY 25th anniversary ‘this day….’). I recently just bought for Xmas 2019 July 22, 1826 issue of a Philadelphia paper with news and the funeral services of both Jefferson and Adams taking the entire front page!

I LOVE history, and collecting old newspapers is a way to reconnect to a distant past, hold an item that was read by one of our ancestors, about a time gone by. And what better way (to me) then to have a paper on, the day after, or if cant have that, the 1st report of a historical event that we all know of, or ones that are historic, but not many know…in a newspaper from the city it happened?

  4. Like any reporter, even someone who writes letters to the editor one thing is for certain in America hearing the news you only know part of what is really going on. It is called political correctness and in America, the truth has to take a backseat to flag. You can try calling America a democracy but don't be surprised if a growing number of its citizens are now calling it a dictatorship. On one side you have the socialist, on the other side you have the nationalist, it's a pity there is no more independent party… being independent used to mean something but isn't it better now that the government can tell you what to do and tell you who you are when doing it? I was born white, I wonder how long it will be before this country tells me that's not my true color? At least I don't have to prove that I am an Indian or that being born in Hawaii makes me a natural citizen of this country.

  5. Fishing 🎣 will keep people away from their 📱 ! Catch some fresh 🐟 & make a meal of it.
