I went to the National Museum of African American History and learned a lot that day about several things they don’t put in the history books and was amazed and saddened. But NOTHING was as terrible to me as the story of Emmett Till. I will never forget that picture….it’s engraved into my mind. I look away every time I see it. But sometimes I hear God say in my ear “This is what racism looks like”. I don’t mean it in a disrespectful way. I’m just saying that this is was hate towards another race does. Grotesque things such as this.
