In 1976, about 50 of Jones’ followers left California to help him build his “utopia” vision deep in the jungles of the South American country.

  1. 24 hours over the ocean, 9 hours down a river, 2 hours on a flatbed truck and then…'re really f*ckin' trapped with this maniac. Congratulations, Darwin Award winners.

  2. Jim Jones and his followers were fighting against racism and bigotry and the evils of capitalism, sounds alot like what Antifa and BLM are supposedly struggling against right now.

  3. Yes there is a god I have said this already karma when a CH ild comes in this world with head to toe their body no good to them do notcry they are here to pay karma is by your door

  4. That song though. “Father loves us, every one.” By that time religion had already been abandoned, so they’re singing about Jim Jones. It’s disturbing.

  5. How could anyone be so stupid enough to follow him? Why would anyone trust a man that wears sunglasses all day and inside and at night? That’s a give away straight away FFS!

  6. What I find peculiar is that Jones' lieutenants mostly seem to have survived. It wouldn't ordinarily be odd because they were the only ones allowed out of the concentration camp, except they all knew that Ryan was going to be there. For them to all suddenly have basketball games to attend or heading to town to do shopping on such an important day is very odd. It's like they knew…

  7. So fucking weird that his one son still calls him "Dad." Edit* wow he really calls it the happiest time of his life I hope that guy is on FBI watch list

  8. they all say he was crazy but ain't you the one that followed the crazy? lol. something was up. all the ones that survived had probably state connection.

  9. Isaiah 53:5, But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed. For salvation, people just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in the water and of the spirit. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled with the Holy Ghost and rising again from the dead. That's what Acts 2:38 is.We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ… Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD.We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritan. Our salvation has to match-up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away.Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st, John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.God told Noah exactly how to be saved, how he must build the ark. Noah didn't come up with his own plan like people are doing today. A sinner's prayer, you just have to believe, etc which is not in the bible. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. If you believe in this message, help spread it in the name of Jesus Christ. God bless you!

  10. Jim Jones was not a Christian at all but a false teacher, not Biblical at all. The Bible says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are therefore worthy of his wrath. But God being rich in mercy sent his Son Jesus to die a bloody death of the cross to save you. And the only way you can be saved it to repent and believe in the gospel, the good news, of Jesus Christ. And through that alone.

  11. I remember looking at the Mother Jones magazine, purple bodies all over. Amazed how one man can do this and what kind of person would follow such a man. Felt deep sadness for the people that died. Believe I still have the magazine.

  12. The prof is in the pudding, sadly, they put their faith in an unstable maniac with no checks and balances, and he showed his true nature
