My mom works as a child nutrition at one of those schools that were a shelter so me, my sisters, and mom stayed there and helped in the kitchen.
There where so many people being rescued that they had to open even more schools because everyone was at capacity.
We had some people bring in cases and cases of water, spam, chips, etc. Also this amazing catering company from Florida bought in hot dinner food for us to serve which was nice because (since they're from Florida) they were like they know how it is to go through a bad hurricane.
Then after while our school got shut down because the cafeteria ceiling started to leak and flood a little.
Overall to say it was kinda chaotic, but I did have fun helping serve the food ðŸ˜Å
A baby died because her parents were too stupid to evacuate!!!! My heart breaks for this little innocent… adults can choose to be idiots… she couldn't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok a biblical flood? The flood in the bible supposedly wiped out the entire world. So the cheif of police evacuated his family into what I can only presume is an ark. As if the whole world is going to flood due to this cat 1 hurricane then no place is safe. It is not the whole world love it is a relatively small area of one coast of one continent in the world. America isnt the whole world, your state isnt the whole world and those coastal cities are not the whole world. I know it can be the whole of a persons world but lets not hype these up any more than they need to be. Remember last year when my state was going to be "wiped off the map"?
