At this point I see how ignorant people really are. I live in a Jacksonville Florida. Our hospitals are over capacity with COVID patients. Our ICU units are full of COVID patents. Our Children’s hospitals are full of kids w COVID w more and more kids going into ICU. Yes, kids are at lower risk to becoming severely ill but even if it was 1% of kids cases to become severely ill. That’s too much!! This isn’t a flu type of illness. It may carry symptoms like the flu. However, I don’t think people realize our immune symptoms go into overdrive w this virus trying to kill it. Besides already taking a chance of damaging one’s lungs long term. There’s also chances of our immune system going into overdrive with inflammation. Too much Inflammation for too long in the body is the main culprit of cancer, heart disease, and brings so many other illnesses to the body!! Now, our healthcare workers cannot see any light at the end of tunnel and are severely overworked. Our young kids are required to attend schools with students not required to wear masks and our city is going through the worst outbreak of this pandemic since this nightmare began over a year ago. For this… A year of our school children's lives has been taken away. For this… They will be make to suffocate with a mask covering their faces for hours at a time because of irrational fear and cowardice. End this BS now and let our children regain whatever normalcy that was stripped away from them.
