  1. Carla is spectacular!!!!! I've seen her in the show back in her initial Ensemble track (while she was the understudy). Gotta applaud all of WICKED's standbys, understudies, and swings. Plus shout out to the team who was so WONDERFUL enough to reach out to past cast members to come back & keep the show running. 7 years later, Carla still has it as "Elphaba".

I study with another former "Elphaba" privately Desi Oakley (who also understudied in the Broadway company). Desi had a familiar experience but different show. Right before COVID hit, she got the call to go play "Jenna" overseas in the London production of WAITRESS. She previously played the role on the 1st National Tour. She was filling in for Lucie Jones (who ironically is about to play "Elphaba" in the London company of WICKED) who was sick. Both understudies also were out (one was sick and the other one was on vacation) and got to do the role for 2 WEEKS. Desi found out in Buffalo, NY while teaching a master class and in just 24 hours, she made her West End debut as "Jenna" in WAITRESS

  2. I love this. My educational background is in engineering but I have always worked in marketing. Everyone is always shocked when I mention my engineering background but I don’t think it’s surprising at all. I am happy this coder/Broadway singer is giving us a taste of that.

  3. This is awesome 👏🏾! Good morning to everyone and have a great day ☺️
