They would want to lock HIM up nowadays if he were principal.
This man was a true hero, a superhero. Mr Joe Clark Kent.
Principals dont even have the power to expel anymore. Its a long process
I just bought this movie, and man I love it. Rest In Peace Mr. Clark, you did well here on earth.
Robert Guilluame looked more like Joe Clark than Morgan Freeman did.
This man was a drill sergeant?
So cheer for dear old Eastside high
I’m just finding out joe Clark died so sad
Proud graduated student from Eastside- 2000! those were the best year of my life. I heard a lot of Mr. Clark, he made a difference even after he retired.
R.I.P Let's all sing it together, 1…2…3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmNqFWkyFaY&ab_channel=L.Young.
I remember once in the 80s he said, "Why are all these black schools filled with so much chaos when black people are the MOST conservative people I know?" I fell in love with Joe right then and there.
Respect Sir!
Thank You Joe Clark!!! For all you were and Did!!! The movie inspired me so much!! May you rest well!!! God Bless!!

R.i.p joe clark
A true American hero.
The universe’s greatest principal. 😇
Damn…he is a real person wowwwww
Joe Clark was not crazy. That's all I got to say. Rest in peace Mr. Clark.
Rest in Peace Joe Clark
"You don't have to like me, but you will respect me."
Joe Clark preached reality. He was a hero and a cultural icon who will be dearly missed.
May he rest in peace.
No wonder Lean on Me has been swamping everyones feed recently.
RIP
The best teachers that I ever had in school all had a little bit of Joe Clark in them and I loved them all, simply they caredðŸ™Â
🙁
This guy had a really hard job but a really hard personality that was very useful in it. I can see why he's a hero. We need more crazy bastards like him.
RIP Mr. Clark.
He's a legend because he didn't give up on black students. Personally from going to school in New York City I can't tell you how many smart black people I met that never tried. They just never tried as much as the white kids, the Hispanic kids or the Asians, but they're just as smart. We need to encourage them to reach their full potential
Legend
"If you do not succeed in life i don't want you to blame your parents. I don't want you to blame the white man. I want you to blame yourselves…" -Joe Clark
I had no idea he died, no dam clue…..where were the stories?? NONE! Why?
Man if every city school principal could be like this. RIP.
An angel.
We need more Joe Clarks and less Al Sharptons….
What does impeachment mean
American Gods
A clip from the movie was recommended to me today. It was the roof scene. The most memorable part of Lean on Me imo. I remember watching that for the first time in high school and it left an impression on me. A powerful moment that would mostly likely never pass in this current time. It honestly pushed me to do better in school. I need to rewatch this film again
Steph Curry
But now they call me batman.
