This is how God works…
The worth and dignity of a soul is measured by what it delights in! And delight/happiness is our highest desire.
Men have killed to have it. Kings have gone mad trying to find it. Wars have served it. Affairs have worshiped it. We all seek it.
Sadly, billions have died without discovering its secret… namely, that joy is not an it, but a He.
The Gospel is the good news that sinners can delight in a Holy God. It's the good news that all of our deepest desires are satisfied in the ONE who sent His Son to bring us to Him. .
God is so valuable and so satisfying that the most loving thing he could do for us is to make Himself gloriously indispensable. He is the only being in the universe for whom self-exaltation is the highest virtue.
Therefore, God's commitment to be glorified and our goal to be satisfied are not at odds but come to simultaneous consummation in the worship of His Son… who took upon Himself the Wrath that God had towards us in our sinful disregard of Him. A wrath that could never be appeased through man-made religion.
Jesus didn't die to turn the world into a paradise, he died so that we could stop seeking paradise in the world…
Temporal things such as beauty, popularity, money, sex, racial identity, gender reassignment… can never truly satisfy. BECAUSE WE WERE MADE FOR SO MUCH MORE!
We were made to gaze intently into the Eternal Beauty of a majestic King, Father, and God… meet Jesus the Christ.
Life is hard, God is good, Glory is coming

I've wanted to write a book called, "Teddy Bear, the Tooth Fairy, and Santa Claus Work." Because they made me feel better. The ritual, the emotion, the togetherness of make believe (for scared little children) are … GOOD … for you! Mommy said so!
This man fails to mention how the severe arrogant hubris of Abrahamic religion (Judaism, Catholicism, Christianity, Islam, Mormonism) fought against the inquiry and curiosity and discoveries of early scientists (sanctioned, imprisoned, tortured and even murdered them!) and delayed technological development of the world for a millennium!!
He fails to mention how, today, the most secular countries who employ advanced (irreligious) social and economic concepts far outperform the most religious countries on the UN Human Development Index.
No, in a postmodern world, science and technology (applied science) offer the most benefit to the most people.
It's a travesty against mankind that anti-science conservative belief in Abrahamic religion would cause selfish solipsistic religionists to refuse covid-19 vaccine and thereby endanger millions of small children and other human beings!
It's abhorrent to believe in a creed that relies on a little costumed man behind a curtain to "forgive" sin, or to pray to a celestial dictator in the sky, rather than taking action, or to make restitution to the aggrieved!
It's sad that small little children are subject to such gaslighting by adults to believe their very fiber, their very existence, is stained with some sort of onerous (heritable!!) sin, then forced to live a life in thrall, cowered by threat and fear.
It's elder abuse to scam the elderly (some sick and frail) by promising them an eternal afterlife of which there is zero evidence!
Sure it's nice to make believe, like Abrahamic religionists did in the childhood of Man. Many still do, live in a little bubble and feel better.

Science < Religion
Science uses the scientific method. Observe, state a hypothesis, test it, repeat it. There is no science to religion, only faith. Don't confuse the two. There is a place for both but there is no "science of religion". Meditation is not religion. Education on how to be happy is not religion. Religion is a "leap of faith".
The secret to my well being and emotional health lately is to keep a clean heart by watching my words and helping others when I can.
knowledge is the true wealth of the world– . Religion gives you tools of control. how this manifests, in reality, is up to whoever is controlling. the harm that Religion has done and is doing is is greater than you want to believe. I've lived through it. Well-being for others and yourself is a better guide than an old book that has many immoral guides. like slavery, mass slatter. good parts have to be filtered by you. the soft religion throughs cover for hard.
