Now that shooting the school is outdated, there must be new ways to kill your hated adversaries. Oh, here's a fun little alternative:
Instead of bringing a gun to school, go to the nearest airport, take the earliest plane, hijack that plane, and go full on 9/11 Kamikaze on your school!

If a shooter has in mind to kill as many people as possible, I don't see how this technology will be of great use. In fact it may even encourage a hostage situation. It sounds like a false sense of security to me. We are better off with armed security guards and or teachers.
You are making school more like a prison, and about this new technology, I don’t see any new here, you guys just utilized old technology more than 2 decades ago and call it a day. The key word is to prevent NOT react
