13. I'm waiting for my second Astra vaccination, and hope that it won't be held up because of this delay. Of course investigations must be made, but blood clots are silent, and can be present for quite a while before any symptoms occur. The majority break down and are reabsorbed by the body without anyone ever knowing they were there.
    It would be great if everyone would calm down now.
    And if people don't want to have it, that's a personal choice, but please don't insult those of us who do want it, and are waiting patiently for their appointments.

Is it appropriate to delay a vaccination program for 5 days over 37 cases of blood clots in 17 million vaccinated patients in the middle of a pandemic? there are literally millions of people who would have been vaccinated this week in Europe who were not because of this pause. Some of those millions of people will catch covid and end up in hospital or dead. There are also now millions of people who are convinced that this vaccine will cause blood clots or that it isn’t clear if it does or doesn’t cause blood clots. That will lead to people not getting the vaccine and then lead to more death and misery. We need to be clearer at the beginning and also less alarmist. This investigation was always about a super rare side effect, even if it found that there was clear evidence that 2-3 people in every million would get blood clots we would still use and recommend this vaccine. If 17 million people had covid, even young people were serious disease is rare, the number of serious cases would be at least 1000 times more than this. That includes cases of covid where people get blood clots. This pause was totally ridiculous but it happened, we don’t think there is a link between the vaccine a blood clots and if there is it is such a rare side effect that it’s irrelevant.
