1. People of the same race are more likely to be a match. Donors in 2021, 7660 whites, 1748 blacks, 1690 Hispanics, 291 Asian, 78 Indian, 71 multiracial. Do you think that might have a little to do with it? There's many factors to consider before a patient is put on the list. My 40 year old white friend who's never smoked, drank, or took illegal drugs & other than her kidneys, is in good health, was denied. Race is not one of those factors.

10. Barriers MUST be removed! Thank you for bringing awareness. I hope more is done to bring that “oasis of care” the doctor speaks about so that something as vital to life as access to healthcare, disease prevention, organ transplants, etc. becomes more equitable.

11. Some people don't put organ donor on their license including me in fear of being targeted. But I'm sure that if I pass away I would definitely donate my organ. It has to be another way like a website of people who needs an ororgan. Post the organ and blood type. if someones love one pass away they could reach out to them privately and say hey. My family member passed away and I think he or she might be a good fit
