This is not news. They fail to mention the sun belt as a whole is becoming more blue. It’s more a regional shift, and has relatively nothing to do with midterm backlash. Just as the Rust belt reddens the sun belt is bluing. It’s just change in regional politics, and this race isn’t really indicative of that.
