    "The last estimate released by the Office of Immigration Statistics at DHS came in December 2018: As of January 1, 2015, there were 11.96 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S. The most recent Pew Research estimate puts the total number of unauthorized immigrants at 10.5 million in 2017."

    Think about that.
    About 11 million people are here without having proper citizenship.
    While some of them pay payroll and sales taxes (i.e. it's estimated California gets over a $Billion per year this way), the vast majority do not.

    I think the SCOTUS has a difficult task. On the one hand, we have the Constitution's general reference to counting "people" of the country (with no qualifier whether they're undocumented) and on the other, we have common sense.

  11. The constitution is quite clear. In ArtI.S2.C3.1 the "Enumeration Clause" it says count "Persons", not citizens. This includes everyone even those illegally here. To change this would require a constitutional amendment.

Next they will push that homeless and destitute or disabled are also not citizens worthy of counting. This was not a tally of qualified voters.
