43. start at 0:58 and put the video at x0.25 speed. there are several frames where the weapon is in the childs hand on his right side, and it looks like he was going to draw it on the officer. less than 2 seconds after that, he drops it and raises his hands. That was the amount of reaction time the officer had to decide whether the kid was going to shoot him (because he saw the weapon in his hand) or surrender. He had to bet his own life on that amount of time. The media is misleading people.
