  1. I've been on sets where actors were yelled at for checking the guns, I.E. taking out the magazines and pulling back and checking the chamber when it was handed to them.

Handling any firearm is risky the same as checking on a set can be interpreted as "playing with it."

  2. What was a live round, not just any live round, but the exact caliber round to fit into that Colt pistol doing on that movie set? And why was it placed into that pistol? And by whom? It makes no sense but it happened.

  3. The armorer, herself, admitted that she thought she might not be ready for this assignment but took it anyway. Perhaps she should’ve gone w her gut? SHE or her ASSISTANT/COLLEAGUE is/are the responsible party it seems. I wonder of the validity or truth of the statement from Alec, about the prop person from his past, asking him to please not open and close the gun once it was handed to him on set. ?? It seems to be a spectacularly fitting story, doesn’t it? Are there any actors or set persons in this thread that have had the same experience in this sort of situation? Hmmmm…

  4. I hope this won't destroy him but instead, he advocates for stricter gun safety measures. What a nightmare for all concerned.

  5. “Hey, really sorry someone other than me killed your wife and mother. But I really need to get to the Hamptons and chill out a little. Been a tough week, and I have all of these interviews to prep for.”

  6. I felt this interview was genuine. Baldwin is an actor yes, but also a human being. He did everything according to what he was told to do. He was told the gun was cold. He did NOT put a bullet in the gun, He did not pull the trigger and there are witnesses. It is very possible the gun hammer was faulty and the gun malfunctioned. Too bad so many "know it all's" are suffering from tunnel vision ONLY because they hated Baldwin before any of this happened and are using this tragic ACCIDENT as a way to cut down the guy to the core. For these people will never see the facts nor listen and see the true human response from Baldwin instead of just being an actor. There has to be more compassion out there then just jumping to conclusions. He will probably be not held accountable for this in court. Not because he is famous, but because the facts will show the truth. The person who should be held accountable is the person who loaded the gun with a live round and the person who assumed the gun was cold, because this person obviously did NOT check the gun before handing it to Baldwin.

  7. Sympathy with everyone involved in this sad tragedy.
After watching Alec Baldwin's interview with George Stephanopoulos however, I feel that he has made himself even more likely to be facing possible civil, and/or criminal negligence charges

  8. The weapon that was used was an actual Colt 45. The difference was supposed to be blank rounds, instead of live rounds. Anybody who handles a firearm should be trained to know the difference, and confirm, with proper handling procedures whether that weapon is loaded with live rounds or blank rounds. It takes less than 10 minutes for this procedure to be done and to be confirmed by other witnesses, before the weapon is to be used on set. There is no excuses. Anything less is pure negligence on anyone who handles that weapon.
