  1. Love Newantiti is silky smooth. I read that he wrote it late at night, and put "ah ah aaah" in as filler, intending to replace it with other lyrics; but, upon waking up and listening to it, he decided it was already perfect. Boy was he right.

  2. Black music has always ruled no matter what
    Others will always want it
Rise up oh motherland for you are the music an way way much more
    👊🏾❤️👊🏾💯

  3. I think you folks don’t know what “pop” music represents.

I’m sure it’s popular with the techno and dance crowd, maybe even some rap and R&B.

I’m not really that aware of it. I don’t hear it on any of my local stations in SoCal.

  4. Ay-ay! I saw my girl, Sho Madjozi! Ee-yah! I was hoping to xatch a glimpse of Simmy, but I'm sure that her style is under a different classification. Loooooove my Nigerian, Ghanaian, and South African artists!

  5. Love this, I took African beat dance classes for a while before lock down, so uplifting, wonderful, glad to see it catching moment. Mama Africa is base of so many many of our cultural ways , about time we paid homage to the culture!!!!

  6. It’s so true African music as soon as u hear it you can’t help but to move…. Even if u can’t dance u want to move something even if it’s the tap ur feet!!! Love afrobeats and so happy it’s getting the recognition it deserves!

  7. African music reminds us that black music has rhythm.
US Hip hop is over 40 years old, it's boring with drums that sound like matches being struck.

  8. tell the Grammys to go and F themselves
They suck the blood from all the biggest artists like some leeches
So they nominate 'em, get 'em there, get a name to MC the show
    Every parasite needs a host
Then give Album of the Year to somebody that no one's ever even heard of

  9. I like and listen African music now already decades and I’m white, that is in my opinion not a problem, I belief music is universal! Maybe other people have problems with that but I don’t care! Art is also universal and believe me everyone can enjoy life when it’s authentic!
