Somehow, I knew in the back of my mind, it would someday come to this, a way would be found, to kill the lifeblood of the televised award show, that does not take the time and effort to produce an elaborated song and dance type award show, just a quickie, thank-you ma’am, no need to dress for the occasion. Why bother at all with a televised award show, just publish a computer-generated spreadsheet the next day and be done with it.
