  1. When we r panicking, we can't even think of the simple/easy method.. our brain don't process anything at that situation.. props to her for avoiding all the cars and finally stoping the car ❣️

  2. If your car brakes fail. Flash your lights and sound your horn to warn other road users. Change to first gear, and pump the brakes fast. If the brake pressure does not return, use the parking brake by slowly raising it up until the car coms to a stop. If use the parking brake is raised too quickly you may begin to spin, you must release the parking break and steer. When safe to do so, find a safe exit and turn off the ignition.

  3. I like seeing solutions like this because now I know how to fix this just in case. This should also be taught in the DMVs just as tips.

  4. they need to teach that you can shift gears as long as your foot is on the brake in an automatic… people who don't know the e-brake can slow a car down is really sad too… and people who got the pedal physically stuck, i literally can't believe they needed somebody on the phone to tell them to pull it up with their foot. i get that these people got scared but this is really sad in the wrong way

  5. So what about the new cars these days with a button you push and the e brake is applied? There ain’t no gradually adjusting that to stop..,

  6. I know from experience, once my carbonator linkage got stuck wide open in a 1974 camaro,I bent the steering wheel almost to a 90degree angle trying to brake,no luck, turned off ignition and coasted to a safe stop, second time a 1986 olds 98, those control would not disenguage, turned ignition key off and coasted to a safe stop……this works

  7. I have seen a good number of these vidioes, car out of control, cannot slow down,I have replied "tell the driver to turn the ignition key backwards, not all the way but just about w quarter inch, usually the key will stop at this point due to not being in park, this will shut down the electricity to the engine and slowly come to a stop, video after video,I have NEVER heard a 911dispatcher instruct any of these drivers to do this,it will stop the vehicle, just turn off the ignition please………

  8. Good she was in Dodge SUV, I’m glad she wasn’t in a RAM. 😬😬🤣🤣

  9. lets be real here… if you're gas pedal is stuck and brakes aren't working you're probably in such a panic that you don't think of an emergency brake… ya'll need to stop hating on something you have never experienced

  10. That happened to my ex-wife once. She was just getting on the freeway and tried to slow down for some traffic and the brake pedal went to the floor. She ended up plowing into the back of a Toyota before she could do anything about it. She had maybe two seconds to react and it just was not enough time. She was OK, but a little bit shaken up. Her 1980s Volvo plowed nearly a third of the way through that 2005 Toyota. No injuries on either side.
