  31. The American people does not want uncontrolled spending and financial irresponsibility. The 'ruling class' of this country are career politicians like you Bernie. The American people do NOT want you to spend trillions of dollars of our money. The cost of this is not only the price tag, but the increase costs through inflation to the average American, the stagnation in wages and decreases in positions available this will cause as companies will have no choice by to 'pass on' in order to remain afloat, including the attack on the middle class people, especially small business owners who, as a group, are the largest employer in the country.

    And, someone needs to define 'fair share' when it comes to paying taxes. Top 1% pays 40% of all income taxes, though accounting for 21% of all income (adjusted gross). If they were really wanting to address the issue that is perceived, they should be looking to remove some of the loopholes that may be allowing rich people to hide income (income that does not in turn help create jobs, etc), instead of raising rates. From what I have seen, those loopholes are not being closed, meaning the super rich still get them.

    No member of Congress should ever be able to vote for a tax increase above what they are already paying. They must lead by example. There is no requirement to take every deduction. In fact, you are allowed to pay more taxes that you legally have to. So, is Bernie paying his 'fair share'? Pelosi? Others?

    One person in Texas got 2 Covid-19 tests in Florida and was charged $50 000, his insurance company negotiated down to $16 000 dollars and paid it. That will increase insurance rates, when they get gouged.

  36. Its already down from 10 trillion to 3.5. 3 should be the damn floor especially considering 4 trillion is the estimation on updating physical infrastructure alone. We cant afford for it to go lower.
