The Nexus Family (2013)

Google began working directly with manufacturers to design and build smartphones with the HTC and Nexus One in 2010. Samsung followed up with the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus. LG has held the reins with the last two versions, the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5.

Plus, we’ve had a handful of tablets — the original Nexus 7 in 2012, the larger Nexus 10, and the new 2013 Nexus 7.

And, yes, that big, beautiful sphere that was put out to pasture before its time.
