wow great qualityÂÂ
Which new phone is as good as this one for taking video ?
The quality looks better than the GS3
excellent camera a definite plus to the phone
I am watching this in my Xperia T
night video focus : FAIL
Sound autofocus
1:42 … and ka-smash 😉 video quality is awesome tho!!
This noise disappears after an update?
Yes the zoom noise is completely gone after the first update sony did on this device (It has been updated 4 times now). You can update your device by connecting it to a computer with "Sony pc companion".
I've tested both mics while recording and they both work, so they did not disable a mic. I live in the netherlands, currently android jelly bean 4,1 (9.1.A.0.489) is released here. I believe jelly bean is released in the UK too, but it can depent on your carrier.
if you could please specify what you mean remco? do you mean the zoom noise is now disabled due to the software update? or is the mic itself entirely muted and if so does it mute the audio of video recording? also are you in the US? how did you find this update? if you are in the UK is there a way to get the update outside of europe?
It may be a hardware issue, but since that update it didnt make that noise anymore. Friends of me which also have a xperia t experienced the same thing. maybe it is filtering out the br br noise, or sony disabled the mic when recording.
youd be wrong there. someone already contacted sony and they said its a manufacturing problem and to return it. its not a software issue its a hardware issue.
what's that sound??
You can hear the focus motor working, WTF?????
anyone know if there is a way to eliminate that noise autofocus? updating or otherwise?
Pretty awesome for a smartphone 🙂
Really nice exelente
i forget high quality display 🙂
The macro shot of the ant crawling on the textured surface shows impressive detail without excessive edge enhancement.
It does look soft at first glance compared to others because there's not a lot of edge enhancement processing that adds artificial "sharpness." I see a lot of actual detail in this clip. Pretty impressive actually for a phone. The blacks, however, are a bit washed out, but a lot of that is due to lens flare in this sample.
Ah i still remember when Phones had 0,3 Megapixel Cameras
why the fuck is every phone these days like £300-£550, i know they need to make money but still these phone are a rip off, i bet if apple were a small disliked company and brought out the iphone 5 it would be alot cheap. your paying for the name aswell as the phone.
Still has a little reddish hue and the autofocus motor is noisy, but it's still great for a cellphone camera.
nice Quality footage.. expectations met! Sony FTW!
Srsly? -_-
Why is the woodpecker in all the shots
How long did you stand there for filming the cars go by? :oD
That's really nice actually
It looks a bit smoother than the Xperia S.
It has digital (not optical) zoom you idiots…
is that noise the lens zooming in and out?
Stevethesercher has right, its good video, but not excelent, HTC ONE X, Iphone 4S,5, Galxy SIII has much better video. Check gsmarena video comapre tool.
Not bad actually
Nice
Now review it 😀
I felt like I was there. Small amount of occasional lag, but over all most accurate video I've seen on a cellphone yet. Very nice.
You can hear the camera refocusing constantly, keeps the picture clear. The galaxy s3 version would focus in a second or two later & was clear but sometimes out of focus, but the picture quality is just as good.
That has to be the camera adjusting constantly, i had a camera that made that same sound when i would record in a quiet area.
Exactly what am I looking at
I think it is good quality
It looks ok, but what the hell is that noise?
Awesome dynamic range, great quality !
Stock Andorid with the latest hardware from Samsung completed with a camera from Sony would be the most amazing phone!
silky smooth video .. i own a htc one x and comparatively this one looks like taken from a proper camcorder.. i mean autofocus is bang on . colors good… details perfect
