I thought the Samsung lady at the S6 reveal presentation said "… this stuff will not bend." So I guess it was a lie? Maybe next time she should use her brain before stating that on stage.

The only problem with the press  test is …………….it is an un natural force, firstly the area of stress in a pocket would be spread further across the device rather than in one point about a centimeter wide.
secondly,  a smaller device is much less likely to suffer the same forces that a larger device will  in a tight pocket and then sat on,
 chances are an i phone 6 or a galaxy S6 would probably be very less likely to bend in a pocket , however, a longer device  kept in the pocket would have a much larger chance of sustaining damage.

when bendgate issue on apple device, android guys freak out and troll apple day in n day out to hearts content! now that its a problem on samsung, oh doesn't matter, no big deal! This makes me mad. When people found out the Iphone 6 plus bent people went nuts. When the galaxy s6 edge bent none is talking about it.

I love my S6 Edge, no case, no screen protector. It's not that hard to take care of your phone people. Not directly related to bendgate, but I think it would have been cool if the rear glass curved as the front did, so the phone would look symmetrical from the side. Yes it would be thicker, but that would mean a larger battery and a smaller or no protrusion for the camera.
And here comes the Samsung apologists…I guess its ok to ridicule the iPhone but when Sammy takes some heat for the exact same thing, they cant wait to apologize for Sammy. Lame.
My only question zayce is why the compact? My z3 feels to small in my opinion. But otherwise I love Sony and what they have done 🙂
