Pixel visual core is not getting utilised by instagram or snapchat anymore. Can someone help me fix this?
Dated 8/06/2020
'Pixel Neural Core' mentioned in the upcoming Pixel 4. Wonder what that will do.
Even in 2019, Google still not enable PVC for their camera application, they just believe no image quality benefits to enable PVC
That's Amazing! I wonder if Samsung or any other phone manufacture will have something for 3rd Party Camera Apps?
Did they ever activate the visual core in the camera app or did they save that for Pixel 3?
This is crazy interesting
finallyyyyyyy i understand what that visual core thingyy
As a new pixel user, I wanna ask why in my developer options there is no 'Camera HAL HDR+' toggle? is it already on default now? thanks
Is the HDR+ Enhanced option in the stock camera app mean it's now using that separate visual core if you turn it on or has that always been there?
So it doesn't effect videos in 3rd party apps?
I sold my pixel 2 XL, and missed the camera so I bought another one. I updated it to Android 8.1 Feb update. On my old Pixel 2 XL, I went into developer options and enabled Camera HAL. That option is missing on my new pixel 2 XL. I just want to make sure I understand, that setting is now turned on by default?
Will all android phones be getting this? And is snapchat as good as it is on an iOS device?
Thank you for explaining that one kept it nice and simple
So they spent everything on the camera and use a lowend screen display
2:55 Look how bad the blue shift on the XL.
Satisfy fool first nlvahbo kid interior Jew previous blind besides.
Let me see it with Snapchat!!! Why isn't there a video on I'm this yet!?
So was the visual core used for anything at all before Febuary or whenever it was opened to third party apps? He says the normal camera app still doesn't use the visual core, so what's the point of it exactly? If it's not helping your main camera app then what's the difference between the processing times and battery usage from pixel 1 to pixel 2, seeing as the dedicated processor for hdr+ isn't being used by the camera app on pixel 2..?
I hope Samsung does something to counter this because their quality on SC And instagram is not as great as the iPhones. With this enabled now the Pixel 2 photos will be better than iPhone? Yeah Pixel 2 is what I want so bad now.
0:38 and 0:43
Intro music?
Only if the phone wasn't so ugly…:/
1:48 so is it slow at taking pictures in comparison to iphones or galaxy phones?
Not using PVC on the main camera app is SO google. They always neglect their own services above all others.
I still don’t get In my Pixel 2 February update.ðŸ˜â€
I feel the VisualCore will do much more in the future then just improve camera on other apps.
And what's about the HDR+ enhanced ?
And I thought it was PVC pipe…
Great review by AndroidCentral on PVC that's introduced by #teampixel
Aahhh that's why
that garbage 2 xl screen tho
Will be interesting to see how the pixel 3 will be like
i wonder if they will have 2 lenses
Is there a way to turn it off I think I have a defected visual core and its destroying ever image I take on 3rd party apps
Some one help I'm having major issues with snapchat WhatsApp Instagram and other 3rd party apps since this visual core update, my images turn in to an absolute mess with huge pink, blue and other weird patterns going through it and you can't even see the image, yet video is fine
Awesome Video😗ðŸ‘Â
I would believe anything what good saying
My phone still hasn't updated to use it. 🙁
Tks for this, it's hard to explain this to people, specially with so many click bait headlines out there. You guys should also make a separate video explaining HDR+, most people doesn't even know that HDR+ is way better then HDR auto, even if the phone triggers HDR.
Was the audio in this video sped up or something? Alex sounds weird.
What kind of savage snaps a photo directly to their Instagram. Admittedly I don’t use Snapchat or Instagram stories so it doesn’t really affect me.
I love pixel
The PVC isn't used by the camera,

I'm so stuck on this phone it's hard to want another phone and I'm coming from the iPhone x! That's saying something for this device
what about other non pixel phone?? :))
Then what the point of have visual core of the stock camera app doesn't even use it? Lol
Yep… Big difference is lowlight pics on Snapchat. Before, Snapchat would look pixelated and filled with noise in lowlight. Now it looks good.
Such ugly phones. Look like they were made for 2016
So is HDR+ available on non-Pixel 2 phones? Are there other photo coprocessors in other phones that could take advantage of HDR+? For example, the Sony XZ phones have a BIONZ image processor – could that be used to process HDR?
