  1. Can't blame chinese economy when the 2 chinese phones which dropped out were replaced by two other chinese phones..

  2. So I bought a mi4c earlier this year and all I can say is that it's build quality is excellent and it's the toughest plastic phone I've ever owned. I dropped the hell outta this thing (accidentally of course) and not a single scratch. I love miui and that's saying something as my last phone was a stock Android Nexus 5 (talk about a week design). So to all the ppl saying how horrible XiaoMi's build quality is you're either a liar or don't know what the hell you're talking about.

  3. Xiaomi also stopped in the Philippines.
I love Xiaomi but their new devices are expensive today.
They should do on what they did last 2013 about the Mi3

  4. good products do not need marketing, ultimately its the consumer who.pays for ads and marketing, xiaomi dont spend much on marketing instead passes on the benefit to consumers.

  5. oppo and vivo have gone ahead only because of much higher expenses on marketing ads etc, otherwise they are far more expensive then xiaomi vis a vis specs

  6. Xiaomi will never gonna get back their position if they don't stop their stupid flash sales.. Where people are willing to buy their products they aren't just intended to sell their products

  7. well i have used phones, like bbz3 , iPhone 5s , Microsoft 640, then now using vivo y51l damn. i like it. now i get why some people are not spending too much and getting an affordable phones.
these are smooth. and user friendly.
    love vivo.

  8. We are getting in real interesting times. Mobile phones are powerful enough to do almost everything a computer can. I mean as I type this out on my HTC M8 and hear this video running then why would I go for a new phone at all? Although the developing countries have a big upside the biggest problem with those countries is that wealth distribution isn't as great as some people think which is causing the slow down. Until the entire world gets a correction for asset pricing I think we are heading for some huge over capacity for creating mobile devices. for asian companies it's real hard to say but it would probably swing to survive since the government of China are huge supporter of thier own companies

  9. The reason why xiaomi is going down in India is just because of their pathetic marketing strategies. They cant meet the demand of the Indian peoples…

  10. Huawei has gown up with the help of google Nexus Product , no doubt they came up with an exclusive product but with the trust of google people started to trust this company and now when they used this product (6P) with the conscious of google branding behind , they have started to notice the brand and the value for the money , so obviously its gonna grow but if compare it Xiaomi then its bad coz Xiaomi its a self building Brand , they have grown without the help of any big company , if u dont agree check out the LG and Moto even they were helped with the Google ladder to go up , Xiaomi has remained the king in low segment and will remain , but just think if Xiaomi Comes out with a Nexus Product , m sure Lenovo ,Huawei , BLU , Gionee , Oppo, Vivo will vanish , and seriously Oppo's after sale service sucks big time , and in almost all Asians countries we want to have the best after sales and Xiaomi Rocks at it , rest is all your decision , but the Google Ladder is the truth behind legends 😉

  11. As I am a native Chinese, I don't think Xiaomi, oppo and vivo can compete with the other OEMs like Samsung and Huawei in the long term. These three Chinese companies are very small and their marketing strategies are low price phones with good specs and that will eventually hurt themselves. Mid-class or better seldom buy their phones in China. However, Huawei and Lenovo are technical giants of China. I think they have enough funds and R&D resources that are necessary to play in the long run. By the way, I like Lenovo and I use its laptop. It's great. Why can't lenovo just make a nice looking phone like Samsung S7 or special phone like Acer predator 6. They should have the ability to make a good looking phone.

  12. Xiaomi dropped out because they didn't have a 2015 flagship due to them avoiding the Snapdragon 810 fiasco, therefore with the Mi5 finally being released nearly 2 years after the Mi4, they are back in the low end flagship game, so it shouldn't be long before they're back up there

  13. Xiaomi lost the game bcuz they launch like a million phones but their phones are out of stock 99% of the times. For example, in India there's a huge demand of Redmi note 3 and Mi5 but they have stock of only 3000-4000 phones to sell per week. They have big mouth but don't have big stocks.

  14. Emerging markets in Asia are the most important…But the biggest challenge is you must sell high quality products with lower price

  15. Xiaomi losing because it's focus on it's gadgets but not the smartphone except it's Xiaomi Number-i serious and note series. As for Lenovo, it's focusing on general utilities like Laptop, computer, monitor and et cetera. For Samsung and Apple, they were losing because of high cost for no upgrade special upgrade features that really satisfy the users. Samsung focusing on highly marketing strategy and ambrassors while Apple focusing on it's new features projects of reducing costs and also public research. Good news for Sony and Huawei because the group of "luxury users" will not yet diminished because of it's products development. Geeky users are focusing on High RAM phones, that's why Vivo X6 having upward trend while Oppo satisfy the "Selfie" group. For myself, I'm focusing on "others" because other brands like Elephone, Zopo and Alcatel because the development is getting better for these brands. Would like hear more opinion from you all.

  16. No doubt the market is reaching a saturation point in my mind , there is also another factor , and that is that people two or three years ago wanted to upgrade phones at every opportunity , because a lot of smart phones on the whole where pretty mediocre , but even todays budget medium range smart phones are quite good and capable devices, and lot of people just are not compelled to upgrade to a new device every year .
i have a 6p and note4 , i still use both , both are still great devices and could go for another couple of years or more and they will probably still do a pretty good job even then ..
