@pc16658 it's not an "invisible " case that covers the mic & speakers. -_- you can still make calls, and everything else. The actual coating is from the INSIDE electric components.

A sim card would probably work fine if you dipped it in water right now. I qould assume that the battery and components the connectors are touch would all be protected individually. It shouldn't really matter that those connectors are touching each other.
@AndiDog2 Looks like these will be alright too since you just saw the guy dunk and entire phone into the water.

We have had waterproof phones in Japan for many years now. This is nothing new.
I've had phones ruined from rain while in a rain coat pocket while fishing. This seem's like an amazing product. It's too bad it's not sold as a spray on application for customer's to use now for minimal protection.
