Huawei has released their next global flagship phone with the Huawei P8. On the outside the P8 looks and feels like a solid high end phone. The back and sides are framed with a steel unibody that has a matte finish to make it less slippery in your hand. The design is simple and clean, though it does look a bit like an iPhone with the glass panel on the back in front of the camera. There’s nothing really crazy going on here in terms of design, it looks and feels sturdy, elegant and well built. It’s got a 5.2 inch 1080P display, with no physical buttons on the front of the phone; you’ll find the power and volume on the right. The display manages to look bright and vivid without straying into oversaturation. It’s running on an Octacore 64-bit processor, 2,680 mAh battery, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The software is less than ideal, running EMUI 3.1 and it feels a bit overbearing. There are tons of features to explore like quick opening of your camera from the gallery, double tapping the screen with your knuckles to take a screenshot, and and swiping the soft keys to open a one handed view. There are some issues when using Google apps here as well, meaning that notifications from Gmail and Hangouts don’t display properly, and Android Wear does not work at all. The Camera is a big draw here with a 13MP rear camera, and an 8MP front facing camera. It’s an impressive camera, though it’s still outdone by the Galaxy S6 and G4. This is a good, but weird phone from Huawei.

Best review I've heard so far. Two questions. 1) Has there been any reports of cracking or bending on this phone. ( as on the iPhone 6 ) 2) Is there any way to fix the software short comings mentioned, a down load fix maybe? Thanks   :-))
Great design and camera ruined by bad software. They getting there tho
The software cripples this phone.. I don't understand why Huawei don't realize this and releases a different android OS for the Western market.. I'm sure this current implementation works in China, as it looks like MIUI, but it won't here because everyone sees how much it looks like iOS
Looks clean.
Cool another phone i cant use on verizon
My god. . . its just a fcking iPhone 6 rip-off
the UI looks like iOs
I find it sad that huawei create better camera than HTC one M9 -_-
CM would be nice
Once this phone gets some AOSP ports I will be interested. The current software is just to much of an iOS knockoff.
And this should really be a flagship phone, for me it looks like an extensive Asus Zenfone 2 made out of steel
