Dissing on the display not being 90hz, but then failing to mention that the 1080p resolution with 60hz refresh rate are another big part of the reason the battery life is excellent. SMH. Also, you're average consumer really won't care 60hz vs 90hz. Would they be able to tell in a side by side comparison, maybe, but day to day, I rarely wish my phone had a higher refresh rate. I guess the one "benefit" of higher refresh rate displays is they also tend to be able to drop down to even lower refresh rates when not needed, but there isn't any reason that tech couldn't be brought to a 60hz display, so that "benefit" shouldn't really count.
The Pixel 5a imo is still a great phone. I still like my 5a I had it since it first launched. It's not a prefect phone but it's really good.
Pros:
Have stock Android.
Battery life.
Great phone if you want a cheap decent phone.
Headphone jack.
Pixel features (I love the screen call).
Custom ROM support.
Camera.
Speaker is loud.
Cons
Gets hot pretty quick being outside or when in driving with Android auto, listening to music, and if the sun is on it even the vehicle is cold.
Some lag here and there when heavily multitasking.
Phone is slippery in hand at times or when I wear my srubs it slips out my pocket.
Power button you need to press a little hard to get the phone to lock.
Do I still recommend this phone in 2022, yes if you doing basic usage on it and it really taught me how there are times I am heavy on my phone when I thought I wasn't really heavy on it. I am keeping this phone until Google stops supporting because even with all the cons I think this phone is still worth some love in 2022.
watching this on a 5a like "hm does it"
Great 😃ðŸ‘Â
Still using a Pixel 5a with Android 13 beta4 in 2022 ðŸ˜Â
I can save you 8 minutes of time here. YES it holds up just fine.. End of story..
The pixel 5a is the perfect phone. It's responsive has a 3.5mm Jack, rear fingerprint sensor. There is nothing more a phone needs. Too bad they ruined the 6a with in display fingerprint and removing the 3.5mm Jack.
Very expensive Phone,
Portland, JAMAICA in the Building !!!!!!
I need more videos like this please…
In my country the Pixel 5a competes with the OnePlus 9 and Galaxy S20 Fe, lmao
Not the phone for me, but great phone for most people
I thought about buying a pixel 5a, but ended with pixel 6. Maybe, should have bought 5a
I suggest people to avoid Samsung A53 it’s not that great of a phone. Samsung doesn’t really optimize software for their midrange phones.
If it cost 212 dollar then it may be considered if 350 above there is many other options
No over heats too much when using messenger video chat
I don't use it as my main phone but my Pixel 3a still holds up as a home phone so you don't have to watch the video 😂
5a fingerprint scanner > 6/6Pro
Using pixel 4 a from one year & i am happy
Next i will upgrade to pixel 6a waiting for launch in India
My Pixel 3a XL, bought 3 years ago, has stopped receiving updates, shuts down abruptly while charging or while taking photos with flash on! Am planning to exchange it for a more run of the mill phone.
Was literally thinking about this phone today!
