So sorry to see this! I hope you can get it fixed. So disappointing, you out so much into it. Boaters worst nightmare!
Well that sucks
Happy Beoatlated Birthday.
Really sorry guys…been a rough week in town here.
Everyone dealing with insurances this week….
Omg Chris,, that's really unfortunate. Iff you get the engines out off the water dry them en run them to temperature as soon as you can. Iff you wait they will rust stuck and you will probably not be able to start them again
You’ve got to keep the Bilge pump going full time.
B is for Break Out Another Thousand
Bro… That blows…
Happy Birthday man! ðŸÂ»ðŸÂ»
Another year above water………..you know what I mean.
Check water inlets to manifolds and the manifolds themselves, then check toilets. Did you install a bilge alarm and have battery charger on to keep bilges running.
I was going to say the same thing, the marina did a job that went above and beyond their requirements, well done to them.
Fuck!
Aren’t there normally bilge pumps that activate on water infiltration on these types of boats? Is that incorrect or was the leak too severe and sudden? Guess this is why such ambitious boat restorations are much more rare on YT than cars….high risk and minimal reward.
You are going to rebuild that boat 🛥︠🦾🦾🦾
Junk a loss is a loss no when to cut your losses
Personally love the boat content stay strong brother
get a lawyer and take insurance to court, its video documented that those upgrades were made.
Will you trailer the boat home
I’m surprised the insurance company didn’t say that you didn’t insure it for submersible operations
this is so sad to watch
I've been following the build, so sorry this has happened to you! I've just spent $80K rebuilding my Chris Craft 427's and that was enough pain. Insurance companies make their profits not paying out. Focus on saving the engines once she's high and dry.
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
"B is for (re)BUILD" – that's the camp i'm in.
Well, this shows the balance of life. You ultimately took this one in stride, just as you do when troubleshooting other major repairs/setbacks, but then take joy in the finished product (such as cancer–>chemo–>clean). A further example, in the last video (Murci test drive), you were grinning ear-to-ear, and the viewers were happy with you. This week, we felt your pain. I have watched enough BIFB videos to know you will land. Maybe not squarely on your feet at first, but you WILL land.
Well, that's one way to develop content, all be it very expensive!!!!!!!
Really sorry that happened.. good luck with the restoration..
If you can keep it.. Keep it.. Maybe the blocks can be rebuilt/gone thru, but the bigger thing will be all the other wiring in the craft to inspect and replace. I'd love to help if I was closer. I agree with the trailer thought. Get it back to your shop, and then it's on your schedule and indoors.
How did the Marina not see the boat sinking? They dont sink that fast from a leak. Takes a day or two usually.
Ahh I’m so sorry to see this episode. On the plus side you can now modernise the interior and make it even more special, the Riva’s are beautiful ladies. Good luck
Get those engines pickled asap so you can save them. Sure a through hull fitting froze if it was left open. Good luck.
Instead of leaving it at the docks, and paying a fortune why don’t you just have it trailered to your yard where you can work on it on your own free time you know it’s gonna be out of the water for a while
Two good days of owning an old boat,1st day and the last day!!
If it's not a frozen a burst line then it's a dead battery and no bilge pump. Boats leak and dead batteries sink a ton of small boats…
Argue with the insurance company. You know what you have into it. It's salvageable – the question is if it's worth it. If the insurance company pays you enough maybe just walk away?
I'll have to be hauled out and stored. I wonder if you could get it transported to your property somewhere so you can manage the storage costs.
I wonder if you could drain the engines out and then pickle them with some oil in the spark plug holes while turning them over. Then deal with them later.
Electronics and wiring will be the next thing to deal with. Might not be too bad if you can control the storage costs….
Fix it, is that not what this channel is about? Sorry that happen to you brotha I hope everything works out.
I like the b is for boat, but It really is a hole in the water that you throw money into
Sorry guys, that sucks! I agree sell, but def fight insurance!!
One little silver lining to this incident…I'm a car guy not a boat guy, so prior to this I didn't care about this boat and didn't watch any of the videos about it. But now you've got some drama going on and now I'll be watching your boat videos to see what's going on.
1. Happy belated Birthday. Not the gift you expected and I'm sorry about the boat and evil insurance company.
2. If it can be repaired at reasonable cost, do it. Fun content!
Nah dude. B is for build that shit. Also we want to know what happened!
First off…Happy belated birthday! Sorry something like that had to happen on your birthday. Second…very sorry about the boat. You got this. 🙂
Get rid of it
Damn… happy birthday?
some birthday. good luck!
Damn sucks. Was looking forward to future content on the yacht upgrades.
BOAT- Bring Out Another Thousand!
Salt water in those motors and all the electronics bad…..Don’t remember if the Willamette River is fresh, brackish or salt.
