Maybe if they are lucky and the lawyers are good that can argue that weed being around the table and in the bushes isn’t clear and present knowledge of the drugs therefore they were never in possession. I was reading that’s why even if people say weed isn’t there when it’s in a glove box, they get charged. It’s because the law assume based on the proximity of the weed in relation to the person getting charged (person in a car, weed in the glovebox), that it is there’s so therefore possession. I like this cop but I also kinda agree they were on a hunt. The dudes were just chilling at the table and the cop says at the beginning of the video “we’re just here to check it out” which is essentially a hunt. Nevertheless, it’s still illegal to possess those substances and the arrest isn’t entrapment or anything wrong on the cops end. Also maybe Bc it’s a high know drug area, they can argue that increases the odds that the drugs didn’t belong to them since it’s a higher likelihood they would be there. Idk
