  1. Rarely do you get to see cops be decent human beings. They could have sent him to jail and ruined his life. But they cut him a break. If only all cops had this kind of compassion towards everyone over little things. He got drunk and tried to walk off with a bottle of jack. He wasn’t hurting no one and ultimately there wasn’t a big issue. Real criminals should go to jail not a confused kid who’s drunk and trying to deal with things.

  2. It's a trick. Get a bag.
(The guy was tossed about like a bag of ice on $1 Long-neck Night, with a belly full of purloined Tennessee bourbon whiskey, after all…)

  3. I was just talking with an officer about some tough stuff (no I wasn't in any trouble) a few years ago and she gave me the hug I didn't know I needed. I still remember her encouragement.

  4. This is so sad but good on the officer for just taking him home and not to jail
That could be the difference between him getting help and becoming a repeat offender or addict

  5. I hope the cop did hug him, caring for a family member with Alzheimer’s is very hard, especially since you’re watching them forget who they are. Hope this guy is okay.

  6. In his defense, taking care of a grandmother in her 90's is NO joke. That is one of the most tiresome and mentally exhausting things to have to do. I drank too.

  7. Friendly reminder if he was black they would of done the same thing because people don’t care about skin color but you guys aren’t ready for that

  8. Aw man, I mean I understand the cops have to be careful but my dude is in handcuffs and just wants a hug, give the poor kid a hug. 😢

  9. My grandmother has dementia. It’s tearing me apart. I have needed a good hug for a year during this pandemic but I’m an at risk patient. Thank god I have had my first shot of the vaccine finally.
